Devlin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Petroleum Land Management. While at The University, Devlin was President of the Student Landman’s Association and was named Outstanding Senior in the Petroleum Land Management Program. Devlin also received the prestigious University of Texas Cactus Goodfellow Award. Devlin currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Energy Management Program in the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.

Devlin began work as a Landman with Harkins & Company. In 1990, Devlin joined Suemaur Exploration, Inc. as Land Manager. Devlin is now Vice President – Land and is a co-owner, Director and Secretary of Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC and its affiliated entities.

Devlin is immediate past Secretary of the American Association of Professional Landmen, served as a Director for numerous years and chaired the American Association of Professional Landmen 1990 Annual Meeting. He is past Chairman of the AAPL Ethics and Education Committees and currently serves on the Educational Foundation Task Force and Forms Committee. Devlin has served on several additional committees within the AAPL, including the Nominations Committee, Long Range Planning Committee, Publications Committee and the Issues Management Committee. Devlin has served as President of the Corpus Christi Association of Professional Landmen and co-chaired the CCAPL Skeet Shoot for seven years.

Devlin is a Director of the John G. and Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation including the Audit and Investment Committees. Devlin serves on the Executive Committee of the Governing Board of the Driscoll Children’s Hospital, including the Compliance, Joint Conference and Bylaws committees. Devlin also served as President of Driscoll Hospital’s Development Foundation Board for two terms. Devlin served on the Board of Governors of the Art Museum of South Texas as well as its Executive Committee and received its Chairman’s Award. Devlin is a former Director and member of the Executive Committee of the Incarnate Word Academy School Board and former chair of its Finance Council.
