Management

Daniel A. Pedrotti (Geologist)

Pedrotti graduated from Texas A&M University with BS and MS degrees in Geology in 1953 and 1958 respectively. He was employed by Texaco from 1958 to 1965 as an Exploration Geologist. From 1965 to 1975 he was an Independent Exploration Geologist, forming a partnership with William B. Miller in 1969 as Miller and Pedrotti. In 1975, Miller and Pedrotti formed Suemaur Corporation and in 1990 along with partners William B. Miller and J.M. Smith purchased the exploration assets of Harkins & Company which developed into Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC. He is a lifetime member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, a Honorary Life Member and past President of the Corpus Christi Geological Society, a member of the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association and Founder and President of Suemaur Nouveau Energy, LLC.

Robert W. Maxwell, Jr. (Geologist)

Maxwell earned both his BS and MS degrees from Florida State University in 1969 and 1971 respectively. Maxwell joined Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC in January 1990 as Vice President-Exploration. In 2002, he became President and CEO and subsequently became Chairman of the Board in 2008. Maxwell served as Vice President-Exploration for Harkins & Company from 198l through 1989. From 1975 until 198l, Maxwell served as District Geologist for Harkins & Company in Corpus Christi. Maxwell had previously worked for Texas Oil & Gas Corporation for two years as an Area Exploration Geologist in Corpus Christi, and three years for Chevron as a Development Geologist in Lafayette, Louisiana. He is a member of the Leadership Council of Florida State University College of Arts and Sciences, and is currently a part time adjunct professor at FSU teaching petroleum geology, energy and the environment. Maxwell is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Art Museum of South Texas, the Texas State Aquarium, Coastal Bend Community Foundation, and serves on the Geology Advisory Board of Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. In 2014 Maxwell was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. Maxwell is a past president of the Corpus Christi Geological Society, and is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists, and the Society of the Sigma X. He received the Outstanding Paper Award at the 1971 Convention of the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies and in 2010 was recognized as the Graduate of Distinction by the College of Arts and Sciences at Florida State University.

Brent F. Hopkins (Geologist)

Hopkins obtained his BS in Geology in 1981 from the State University of New York at Cortland. He has been involved with Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC since its inception but formally joined January 1, 2008 as President and CEO. Hopkins was hired as Exploration Manager of Gedd, Inc. in 2002 and later became President. While at Gedd, he was responsible for overseeing various domestic assets along with international investments in Papua New Guinea, Columbia, South America and Belize. The most successful of these investments was in Columbia with Hupecol where over 150 wells were drilled and ultimately a number of concessions were divested to various international companies for over $1.2 billion. Prior to Gedd, Hopkins spent the first 20 years of his career with Genesis Producing Company in various capacities from Geo-tech to Exploration Manager. Hopkins has served as a Director of TIPRO representing Region 1, since 2012. Hopkins is former President of both the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies and the Corpus Christi Geological Society, Chaired the GCAGS Conference in Corpus Christi in 2007 and has been Chairman of the Corpus Christi Oilmen’s Tennis Tournament for the past several years (raising money for the CCGS, API and SPE scholarship programs) and is a member of American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and Society of Exploration Geophysicists.

David J. Webster (Engineer)

Webster received his BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1983 and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas. Prior to joining Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC as Engineering Manager in May 1993, Webster served as a Petroleum Engineer for Magnum Engineering Company from 1990 through May 1993, responsible for drilling, production, and reservoir engineering functions as well as property evaluation. From 1983 to 1990, Webster held various positions of increasing responsibility with Royal Oil & Gas Corporation, ultimately serving as District Engineer for the South Texas area. For the past 24 years, Webster has been responsible for the oversight of all engineering functions for Suemaur. He has performed reserve evaluations and data room presentations for several producing property divestitures over the past 27 years with a combined sale value of approximately $325 million.

Andrew Grubb (Engineer)

* Vice President – Engineering

Grubb received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1978 and is a registered professional Engineer in Texas. He earned an MBA from Texas Christian University in 1998. Prior to joining Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC in September 2006, Grubb was employed with Burnett Oil Co., Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas. His responsibilities there included drilling, production and reservoir engineering for the company properties in the Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma, the Permian Basin and Fort Worth Basins in Texas. Prior employers included Exxon Company, USA, Harkins & Company, Snyder Oil and Union Pacific Resources. Specifically, Grubb has provided both hands-on engineering and management of drilling and production operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kansas and Pennsylvania. He has performed engineering and economic evaluations for numerous acquisitions and divestitures. Two significant acquisitions (both for Snyder Oil Corporation) include the acquisition of Cotton Plant Field in Louisiana and 330,000 acres of fee minerals in North Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas. Grubb is a member of the SPE and AADE.

Leighton Devine

* Exploration Geologist

Devine received his BS in Geology in 2001 from the University of Texas, Austin. Prior to joining Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC, he worked as an independent geologist exploring multiple trends along the Texas Gulf Coast. Devine joined Suemaur in October 2009.

AJ Molnar

* Bookkeeper

Molnar joined Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC in June of 2002. Prior to joining Suemaur, he held the position of Chief Accountant with B.D. Production Company/Durst Oil Company from 1997 to 2002 and Qaulitest, Inc. from 1997 to 2002. Molnar holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi; an AA in Business from Del Mar College and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton.

Pamela F. Russell

* Lease Records Supervisor

Russell joined Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC in December 1991. Russell was with TXO Production Corp. from 1974 through October 1990, where she served as Engineering Secretary for five years, Land Secretary for one year, and Lease Administrator for ten years.

Michelle Brown

* Land Assistant/Division Order Analyst

Brown joined Suemaur Exploration & Production, LLC in May 1999. Prior to joining Suemaur, she was employed as a Land Secretary at Pioneer Natural Resources. She also worked for Camp Executive Secretarial Services from 1990 – 1997, as an Executive Secretary before being promoted to Office Manager.
